I'm pretty sure that you and your gaming partner can take ANY armies from the list available.
Of course sneaky combos of say Greek Phalanx and Indian Elephants may be a little over the top?
But I'm sure approched in the right frame of mind, you can have a great time.

Absolutely, we just like very different armies and find it tough to agree what to take. It makes it a lot easier to take 2000pts of our own favourites! It will probably be pikey and numidian, if we can agree!

Don,
It's 2000 points each, matched up to doubles of 4000 points.
OR...
single player 4000 pointsRead Report, the players can choice either.

If you take two armies, do they have to be allies or can they be any army on the list?

There is still plenty of time to go before the entries deadline for our October 2010 Campaign Weekend.

I thought I would let you know who the runners and riders are so far.

You can read more here.

Best regards

My German Pioneers.
Late war
A little too big for the average Dispossable Heroes game, I would need to drop one tank and maybe the HMG/Mortar?

September Campaign Weekend Cancelled

It is with regret that we have to announce the cancellation of our September Campaign Weekend at Maelstrom Games.

Sadly there has only been a single entry with only a month to go.

As both of us are taking our holidays over the next three weeks, we thought it best to cancel now while we were in a position to act.

We were looking forward to trying different systems (Disposable Heroes, Black Powder and the forthcoming Renaissance rules) at a new venue (Maelstrom).

For the time being, we will concentrate on the core rule set such as WAB, Warmaster, Great War etc.

We will take soundings at our October Event to see if we can figure out the lack of interest. Rule set, venue, dates ?

Many thanks for your continued support.

We look forward to seeing you at Warhammer World in October.

Best regards

Phil

I certainly hope so!
The guys at Maelstrom has assured us that they will have plenty of space.
They are continuing to expand the playing areas and number of gaming tables.
Lets see how many players we get first before we start to worry about space?

Cheers

Hmmmm

Ok I have been let down on the gaming board front, and this will not now be made :-(. Tim has decided that he wants to try 4 competition style games (late war)rather than a campaign weekend, to this end I propose 4 x 750 point games, to be played over the two days. A rulespack will be made available shortly, (with a few house rules). Players are welcome to bring their own figures as long as they are painted 28mm, although we can provide numerous forces, if they are required

Phil, I hope you do not change the date as I have already booked to go to France on a Battlefield Tour on the 30th 31st Oct,I missed May, it would be a shame to miss October as well.
